Self-host the static UI
Serve Oore’s static web assets from your own host and connect browsers to your backend.
Use this supported path when you want to operate the static UI host yourself. The static host supplies client code to the browser; it does not become an Oore backend or API proxy.
What you need
- The built public web assets.
- A static host with the routing needed by the web application.
- A browser-reachable backend.
- For a different UI and backend origin, HTTPS External Access and the exact UI origin in backend CORS settings.
1. Build the web assets
From a source checkout:
bun install --frozen-lockfile
make build-webPublish the regular files from apps/web/dist with your static host. Configure
that host for the web application’s client routes.
2. Configure the backend boundary
If browsers call a different backend origin, enable External Access, use HTTPS, and add the static site’s exact origin in Settings > General, under External access. Backend database settings take precedence over environment fallbacks; local client origins remain available.
Verify the result
Open the deployed UI, add the backend URL, sign in, and load Builds and Settings > Runners. In browser developer tools, confirm API requests go to the selected backend rather than the static host.
Troubleshooting
A client-side 404 means the static host is not falling back to the web application entry for application routes. A CORS failure means the backend does not allow the exact UI origin. Mixed-content errors require an HTTPS backend; an HTTPS page cannot call an HTTP backend.
Next step
Add another instance or use the advanced split-role frontend proxy when you need same-origin API proxying.
